Experimental Question: will putting dog hair next to the feeder affect how much the birds eat?
Hypothesis: i think it will affect it because in the wild dogs are predators and birds are prey
Procedure: get a feeder, hang on a tree away from any other animals, put 250 ml of seed in on day 1, record each day at same time amount eaten, refill, continue without dog hair for 4 days total. repeat process with dog hair in and around the feeder for 4 days.
Independent variable: dog hair or no dog hair
Dependant variable: ammount of seed eaten
Control variable: location, feeder, weather, time.
Materials: feeder, dog hair, seed, graduated cylinder, and tree to be edited
